The Crew

Skipper Sam Lares

The dream started in the summer of 2007 Port Valdez, AK. As a teenager, I fished Prince William Sound in the summer months. Seeing the community of family owned boats, tying up at night, playing music and games with their families, the fulfillment and pride was seen clearly. We discussed lessons, victories earned, and planned for the upcoming tides. These determined, wild, and humble people were creating a lifestyle around noble sustainability and honest labor. I knew this is the life I wanted for my future family.

Co-owner Kayla Lares

Camaqa (hello)! My name is Kayla and my cultural heritage is Alutiiq Aleut, with my ancestors originating from the village of Chenega. I have a deep connection to the land and sea of Prince William Sound, fishing the same waters as my ancestors have for thousands of years, including my father, and his father before him!

As an Alaskan we endure harsh weather and a incredibly high cost of living and as a mom it can be very stressful to find healthy food options for the whole family. Our privilege is having abundant wild game and the most pure food source, salmon! I love the thought of our hard work delivering this unique food to people all over our country, and buying from our little operation is supporting our little community. I look forward to hearing your story and how our work has served you!
